Joint Statement to the Scottish Government from UK Long Covid Charities

On January 31st, an update was published to the Long Covid guidance on NHS Scotland's Inform platform.


It included several videos depicting people describing their Long Covid journeys. However, the reaction from people living with the condition, advocates and charities such as ours was of dismay and disappointment. The narrative served to minimise the experience of Long Covid and suggested that getting better was a matter of increasing activity and changing attitude.

Along with the charities Long Covid Kids, Long Covid Scotland, Long Covid Support and Long Covid Physio we have issued a statement which we hope will provoke NHS Inform and the Scottish Government to reconsider this update and the videos it contains.
